POST-MASTER’S RESEARCH PROJECT Florida State Univ.—Building Digital Collections, Tallahassee, FL, 01/2011-Present My academic research project is the building and implementation of digital asset management systems (DAM) with the use of free open-source software, an ongoing project since 2010. Experimenting with various DAM software like, VCat, Drupal, Dspace and Greenstone. The selection of the right descriptive metadata and cataloging elements to for the job. Under-standing the selection process of the data being organized for retrieval. Knowledge of the digitization process of resizing, and cataloging images; and the use of digital imaging software like Photoshop and Bridge for batch processing.
